So what is Pilates, exactly?

The Pilates Method (Pronounced Pil-LAT-teez)

With Pilates you will work on gaining flexibility, strength, balance and coordination. Pilates is the foundation for efficient movement. It is a total body experience that is effective and fun.
 

The Pilates Method is a unique system of strengthening and stretching exercises developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900's utilising specialised equipment and mat exercises.

It is a full body-conditioning program that will improve flexibility, increase total body strength, increase fitness and improve posture. People of all shapes and sizes, regardless of age and fitness levels will benefit from Pilates. Pilates is ideal for improving sport performing, addressing chronic back, neck, shoulder and knee pain, and for helping with sports or work injury rehabilitation.

Anita
With over 14 years experience in the fitness industry, Anita is a member of the Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA) and also holds a Bachelor of Education.

Mark
Mark has been helping people keep fit since 1998 and is a member of the Australian Association of Exercise and Sports Science. As an exercise physiologist specializing in rehabilitation, he also holds a Bachelor of Human Movement plus a post-graduate degree in PD Health PE and Pilates Rehabilation through Polestar Pilates.
